Li Ziqi, a youngvlogger telling story of China in picturesque videos, is followed by 21 millionpeople on Sina Weibo and 7 million on YouTube. She is internationally acclaimedfor the unique, simple and traditional Chinese way of life. Focusing on Chinesecuisine culture, her videos covers the quiet old country life, detailed cookingprocesses, dedicate Chinese dresses and also melodious ancient tune. Therelease of her videos on YouTube not only brings her handsome fans but alsoputs her to a dilemma considering culture shock. In this context, whether andhow to accurately translate subtitles into English is on the agenda.

Based on the SkoposTheory, Functional Equivalence Theory, Cross-Cultural Communication Theory andInterpretive Theory, this paper is intended to deal with the problems insubtitle translation of Li Ziqi's Videos. Combined with translation strategiesand methods, it will discuss the pros and cons, and finally hope to make thetranslation more accurate and developed.
