Language barrier has always been the primary factor that contributes to the cultural discount during the output of Chinese culture. To remove language barrier and achieve a smooth expression in the targeted language require a profound backdrop of two different cultures, special knowledge in specific fields, an in-depth understanding of the author’s purpose, and a prominent command of languages techniques. This paper, based on the comparative analysis of the Chinese version and English version of Hugo Award winner. The Three-body Problem, aims to analyze the language barrier in the Chinese-to-English translation.
