从功能对等理论谈冯小刚电影的字幕翻译On the Subtitle Translation of Feng Xiaogang’s Films from the Perspective of Functional Equivalence Theory任务书

1. 毕业设计（论文）主要内容：

The film has become an important carrier of culture and a critical way of communication. Correspondingly, with progress of the globalization and development of the film industry, subtitle translation, as a vital part of non-literary translation and audiovisual translation, gets wide attention from both China and the world. Since the film subtitle translation has space and time constraints, it is necessary for the translators to limit the interpreted subtitle and make effort to simplify it, and demonstrate it in a brief form. What’s more, translators should make the audience understand the meaning of director or author and enjoy the films like the native audience. Functional equivalence stresses dynamic equivalence, which means, when there is a conflict between meaning and form, the meaning has priority. The theory also focuses on capture of the similarity of feedback given by native audience and non-native audience. Totally, the thesis will do the analysis by application of functional equivalence theory in subtitle translation, and choose Feng Xiaogang’s comedies as the case study.

2. Read the professional articles about the topic and make a brief understanding about the definition of the topic.

3. Collect materials to make preparations for the paper.

4. Finish the outline and the opening report, write a specific schedule for the progress of the paper.
