The globalization have lead to the fast development of the Internet, and the Internet culture becomes an important part of the modern popular culture. As the Internet culture developing, many new words have appeared. This kind of new words can not be found in dictionaries, causing the difficulty of translating them. A lot of new words are coined according to some rules of word formation like derivation, affixation and compounding. This paper mainly analyzes on the forming of the new words and presents a method to translate new words in terms of word formation using skills like compounding, clipping, blending and contraction.

1. Search various resources to identify the topic for the paper.

2. Read the professional articles about the topic and make a brief understanding about the definition of the topic.

3. Collect data and materials to make preparations for the paper writing.
