Tothe lighthouse is a novel written by VirginiaWoolf in 1927. Taking a trip to the lighthouse as the central thread throughoutthe book, the novel follows the life of the ramsay family and several guestsbefore and after the first world war.

Virginia Woolf, the representative writer ofmodernism in the 20th century, used the writing technique of stream ofconsciousness to break with the traditional rational writing, dilute the plotitself, concentrate on the inner world of the characters, and explore the realworld in the spiritual space of the characters. With the female aestheticvision, poetic and delicate language, she poured out her perception of the truemeaning of life in the consciousness process of the characters.

Based on "to the lighthouse", thispaper focuses on the analysis of the author's female consciousness, conceptsand feminism expressed through the description of the central characters andimages in the book, so as to further enable readers to have a deeper understandingof Woolf and the theme of this work, as well as a further understanding offeminism.
